We never imagined that we would have been afforded this opportunity to record our original music professionally and be able to offer it to others. We are more ministers at heart than musicians. To be able to entertain someone musically has its short-term benefits but simply cannot compare to the ministering of life to someone who, at that very moment in their personal life, needs it most. This is our passion and the future of Sacrifice. As with every servant of God, our hearts are fulfilled when we minister life to the hearer, whether that is accomplished through the preaching of the Word from the pulpit or to a complete stranger at a local coffee shop.

We have had many influences over the years, everything from acclaimed artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Carmen and Third Day to the ever poplular 80's classic rock. It has not surprised me to see a lot of these older bands reuniting recently, more than likely resulting from an era that failed to represent the originality factor. Influences also span into the folk realm with the acoustic guitar as the leading instrument from artists such as John Denver. Most of the Christian artists listed above have also been an influence as successful artists. While they are all unique in their sound, they each possess a degree of humility and genuinely appear to be honored in their service to the King. Webster's defines influence like this: "To have an effect on the condition or development of..." As a group of individuals who have come together to form Sacrifice, all of us have been influenced by The Word of God and the Author. It has changed our conditions dramatically and is solely responsible for the development of who we are becoming. Our music is simply a reflection of this influence.
