Since December 10, 1984, I have been born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, the oldest of three in a Christian home. I've played the drums for as long as I can remember. I could say that I represent all lifelong drummers out there who started out beating on pots and pans before the age of one. My instruments were eventually promoted to Fisher Price, and the rest is history. There has never been a time in life when I did not own a real drumset of some kind. All that to say that playing the drums has been the only one of my hobbies that I've had throughout my entire life. Whether or not I'm a "great" drummer is in the eyes of the beholder, but I know that I'm a passionate one, and that I want my talents to be used mightily for God's Kingdom.
Like I said, I was raised in a Christian home and have great parents, a sister, and a brother. I've had some difficult times in my life, but I can't say that I'm very exposed. I have lived a sheltered life, no regrets - small school, small church, goody two-shoes, and even a boy scout (and eventually attained the rank of Eagle). After graduating high school, I went to The Honor Academy (Garden Valley, TX) in August of 2003 for a one-year Christian internship of Teen Mania Ministries. I stayed a second year for God to form and mold me even more, having an incredible group of guys to disciple as their Core Advisor. In August of 2005, I came back home and served in both the youth ministry and the worship team of Praise Family Church with the other Sacrifice band members. I also started going to college where I'm working towards a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication.
So this is me, having much involvement in and a heart for both music and ministry, and Sacrifice being the neat joining of the two. Thank you, Lord, for Your mercy on my life. Thank you, Mike and Tom, for inviting me on this mission. I think this is such a cool opportunity, and I love being with you guys. Heck, as having been the ring-bearer in Mike's wedding when I was 9, my involvement in this band has got to be destiny, right?
